BIO
Jessica "Sharkie" Kariz was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.  The only daughter of Ecuadorian and Guatemalan parents and has one older brother.  During both elementary and high school years, she was always considered as "one of the boys".  When she turned 19, she realized she had a passion for dance.  While completing both her associate and baccalaureate degrees and becoming a certified Illinois Spanish teacher, she continued to further her dancing career.  She became a dancer in a hip hop company and a dance and acting teacher for a children's theater.

Although Chicago will always be her "home", she just recently made a move to L.A. to further her training and also take advantage of all dance opportunities that come her way.
